On the afternoon of July 23, the summary meeting for the first semester of 2021 as well as the summer vacation work arrangement meeting was held in HIE. The meeting was presided over by Party Secretary Chen Yuetang. President Yi Bing made summary report and summer vacation work arrangements. All school leaders and middle-level cadres attended the meeting.

Yi Bing pointed out that, guided by Xi Jinping’s thought on socialism with Chinese characteristics in the new era, HIE has practiced the spirit of the 19th National Congress of the Party and the 19th Plenary Session, continuously strengthened the party’s overall leadership, implemented the fundamental task of cultivating talents by strengthening moral education, coordinated normalized epidemic prevention and control work, and promoted school reform and development. He systematically summarized the main work and achievements of the school in the first half of the year from three aspects, including comprehensive strengthening of the party's leadership, continuous enhancement of core competitiveness and overall school-running strength, and steady improvement of management level and service quality. At the meeting, Yi Bing also made arrangements for the work during the summer vacation, requiring all units to prepare for duty and emergency response, do a solid job in epidemic prevention and control, actively promote school celebration preparations, complete the handover of cadres, and strengthen security and logistical support.

Chen Yuetang put forward that all units must make plans for the summer vacation and the next stage of work to ensure that the key tasks of the summer vacation can be completed on schedule so as to promote the high-quality development of the school's various undertakings. All faculty and staff should adjust their physical and mental conditions, continuously strengthen their own learning, improve their professional skills and abilities so as to make new and greater contributions.
